Insights Counselling

About Me
I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada, graduated from the Vancouver College of Counselling Training Program and have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UBC. I am passionate and committed to enhancing my skills and knowledge as a counsellor. I have interned at Moving Forward Family Services, volunteer at the Crisis Centre, and currently attending Existential Analysis training.
I believe growth and healing are an integral part of life's journey and
it starts with a spark of awareness and insights into ourselves.
An Integrated Approach
I am inspired and oriented towards a handful of approaches which include Existential Analysis, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Gestalt Therapy.
I believe the therapeutic process is a collaborative one. One in which I work with my client to shape the course of our counselling sessions. I hope that together we take on a curious, gentle approach to rebuild my clients' connection to their emotional & physical body, mind and spirit. I believe supporting my clients' autonomy is a crucial part of the therapeutic process and so I value and respect the client experience.
Who I welcome as clients
I welcome adult clients who are interested in individual therapy and whose daily life challenges and struggles arise from depression, anxiety or low self esteem.
